To officially complete the Pokédex, you need to catch the first 150 Pokémon in the game, from Bulbasaur to Mewtwo. Having Mew, Meltan, and Melmetal registered to the device will certainly give you bragging rights, but they don’t count toward the final tally.

Can you still get Mew with Poke Ball Plus?

You’ll find the Poké Ball Plus option in the Mystery Gift menu. If you have never used your Poké Ball Plus before, you will then receive your Mew. Afterwards, you can use this feature to take your favourite Pokémon from either Sword or Shield on walks in the real world.
